This Summer Help Your Kids Grow the Fruit of the Spirit!
July 20, 2008 - July 24, 2008
5:30pm - 8:00pm
Town Point United Methodist Church in
Chesapeake City
Five local churches in the Chesapeake City area have joined together to provide
this week long early evening event FREE of charge to the community!
Here's what your child will receive by attending VBS2008:
- Fellowship with other age equivelant children.
- Child friendly dinner each night starting promptly at 5:30pm.
- Transportation to Town Point UMC from Trinity UMC in Chesapeake City.
Get ready to transform Town Point United Methodist Church into a farm full of fun Bible learning!
If your child attends make sure to have them wear clothes that they can play in. No County Fair experience is complete without getting a little bit dirty!
SonHarvest County Fair VBS takes kids to the country for some down-to-earth farm fun! Through the examples of Jesus and His parables, children will grow the fruit of the Spirit in their lives: love, joy, peace, patience and kindness.
Age-level Farm Crews with Farmer Guides
Farm crews begin each and end each session at The Farmhand Gathering. Between the opening and closing fun at The Gathering, Farmers help their farmhands rotate to these activity sites where Farmers will help kids dig into the Word and help grow the fruit of the spirit! Here are the stations the children will visit each evening after dinner:
- The Farmhand Gathering
Gathering point at the start and end of each evening with start up activities to get the spirit flowing.
- Cow-a-bunga Crafts
Craft of the day.
- Shucky’s stories
Our youth drama group presents the days production.
- Go Hog Wild Games
Games, games and more games. Be prepared to participate in some farm themed games.
- Mooo-vin and Groovin’ music
Lots of music and movement.
